Day 1: Arrive in the marvellous Madikwe

Arrive at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and travel to Madikwe Private Game Reserve, which is located on the outskirts of the Kalahari in South Africa’s North-West Province. Because of its large number of resident animals and malaria-free environment, Madikwe is regarded as one of the country’s premier safari locations.
Dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 1

Arrive at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and travel to Madikwe Private Game Reserve, which is located on the outskirts of the Kalahari in South Africa’s North-West Province. Spend your days at the Lodge with exhilarating wildlife drives in open safari vehicles with skilled rangers.
Madikwe is a grassland and open forest habitat surrounded by rough mountain ranges and rocky hills. It is home to Africa’s famed Big 5, as well as cheetahs, wild dogs, spotted hyenas, giraffes, hippopotamuses, zebras, and several antelope and herbivore species. Madikwe also has over 300 known bird species, as well as a unique mix of typical savannah creatures and more rare desert specialists.

Relax after a game drive in the outdoor sitting area, which is placed on an open terrace with beautiful views of the reserve.

If you wish to venture any farther, visit the wonderfully gorgeous Cape Winelands for outstanding wine tasting and gourmet dining, or the rough Cape Point Nature Reserve, located at Africa’s southernmost tip and near to the penguin colony at Boulders Beach, a must-see on any family vacation.
